Hellmuth Excelling in World Series of Poker 2010

July 24th, 2010  |  Published in Photos

UB.com‘s Phil Hellmuth finished seventh place in Event #41 of the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP), a $1,500 Omaha Hi/Low Eight or Better tournament this week. Hellmuth fell short of grabbing his 12th bracelet – which would have been his first in a non-Hold’em event – and silencing detractors who were on hand ridiculing and hissing him during Thursday’s final UB Referral Code table.

But it wasn’t intended to be for the 11-time bracelet winner. Hellmuth held on with a short stack for most of the day and ultimately went down at the hands of John Gottleib. Characteristically, Hellmuth showed passion after his elimination, but was gracious in defeat, shaking the hands of the six remaining players before he left the ESPN final able arena. Regardless of the regular criticism from his peers about his game, Hellmuth remains to make deep UB Deposit Bonus Code runs in events with large fields.

Mizrachi of Full Tilt and His 14.4 million in chips

July 24th, 2010  |  Published in Photos

In 2009 the poker community gathered around Phil Ivey and in 2010 Mizrachi will be the man with 14.4 million in chips to watch for. The $50,000 Players’ Championship victory began his WSOP on a very high note and for two days of being among the bottom of the chip counts, Mizrachi certainly did not want to head home. The Miami, Fla., native is one of the most recognized players in the world, with more than $8.8 million in live tournament earnings and triumph on every venue, both live and online. He doesn’t quite have the stack he wanted, but he made it and is ready for a Referral Code Full Tilt run at the title this November.

“I’m kind of washed up at the moment, but at least I’ll have four months to recover,” Mizrachi joked after the final table was set. “I took down all the pros in the Players’ Championship; they were players that I have not played with before. I pretty much know how each one plays here, but with the blinds so far above the ground, it’s not the same game. I am looking forward to representing the Full Tilt Poker News pros in November.”

Moritz Kranich is WPT Bellagio Cup VI champion

July 24th, 2010  |  Published in Photos

Moritz Kranich bested six other renowned poker players to win the WPT Bellagio Cup VI pocketing a total of $875,150 grand prize. He won over Phil Ivey, a pro from Full Tilt Poker who despite having started late in the game, was able to make it into the last leg of the tournament. For a moment, Ivey looked as if he was about to grab the Full Tilt Poker Review prize but unfortunately it was not meant to be.

The six players who made it into the final table were Eric Afriat, Phil Ivey, Robert Akery, Justin Smith, John Caridad and Moritz Kranich. Eric Afriat had the shortest stack among the six and dropped out of the game early, followed by Akery and Smith. The latter played impressively all throughout the tournament and most likely gained the admiration of a lot of fans and players.

But Moritz and Caridad already racked up a strong chip lead that even Phil Ivey, despite his good Full Tilt Referral Code showing at the felt, was eventually forced to succumb. Full Tilt Poker pro Ivey settled for third place with a win of $363,650. Moritza Kranich and John Caridad, having held on to their positions as chip leaders, duked it out until the end but it was Kranich who eventually seized the lead and win the competition.
